Event will not be held in 2010
Meet Thomas the Tank Engine, Percy the Small Engine and Sir Topham-Hatt, the Fat Controller at Northampton & Lamport Railway.
Thomas the Tank Engine has not been feeling well lately. He gets short of steam after only a few minutes' work, and struggles to pull his coaches uphill to Ffarquhar station. This is just like the times our children are poorly. For children, a couple of days off school and maybe some medicine will make them better. For Thomas the Tank Engine, something different is needed. Sir Topham-Hatt, the Fat Controller has recommended that Thomas takes a well-earned rest in his shed. While he is there, the men from the workshop are going to fix his boiler so he feels better again. During this time he will not be able to visit England to pull trains for children.
Ivor the Engine saves the day
To avoid disappointing all the children around Northamptonshire, Sir Topham-Hatt telephoned his friend Dai Station at Llaniog to see if he could help. Dai asked Jones the Steam and Mrs. Porty and together they decided that Ivor the Engine will travel from the Merioneth & Llantisily Railway to Pitsford and Brampton station.
Our Ivor the Engine weekend will take place on 29th, 30th & 31st May 2010. For more information see the Ivor the Engine page.
